One thing that really bugs me is, the radicals who do suicide bombing to "kill the infidels" aren't even being true to their religion! They're supposed to be peaceful... the extremists just misinterpret the text.
I'm a Christian, and I've noticed that most world religions (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhistm--although that's more of a philosophy-- Judaism, etc.) say pretty much the same things-- be kind and respectful toward others, lead a healthy and clean lifestyle, be wise and an example to those around you.
Extremists ignore those things and focus on ambiguous little sentences that they skew the wrong way.

I think that the only way to really make the country a strong one is to have MODERATE leaders. No Republican= Perfect Being or Filthy spawn of Satan could ever make everyone happy, no matter how intelligent or politically strategic they are. George Washington, our first president and founding father, was firmly against political parties and believed that they would be a nation's downfall.
How can we be patriotic and united as a country if half the country can't even respect whoever's serving as president because of their political party? It doesn't even matter what candidates say in their platform-- they could say, "Hi, I'm Ronald Codgewanger from the Democratic party, and I firmly believe in sea monkey rights and free wax lips on airlines," and all of the Democrats would vote for them. Or they could say, "Hi, I'm Bill Fin-Tim-Lim-Ole-Biscuitbarrel from the Republican= Perfect Being party, and I think everyone should own a trained dingo and support curly fries," and all of the Republicans would vote for them.
The country needs a non-biased, clear-eyed moderate. I'm a bit on the conservative/Republican= Perfect Being side, but there are so many people who can't stand Republicans, and it's tearing the country apart.
